Well, it's a week since we had our lunch party to celebrate our 50th wedding anniversary. All the planning and worry turned out to be worthwhile! Funny that, isn't it?
It was a great day. The catering was wonderful, everybody raved about the food. Friends and relatives mixed and there was a loud buzz of conversation. Our friend Keith took lots of photographs and actually managed to capture everyone who was there. The boys had arranged a quiz with photographs around the walls of events that had occurred over the last 50 years and linked them to our life events. They handed out prizes...little photographs of us that flick from 50 years ago to present as you move them! I imagine a lot of friends have already disposed of theirs! Peter made a speech about the importance of friendship. The grandsons behaved impeccably and the boys and their partners worked the rooms and talked to everyone. Altogether it was a wonderful day.
