A busy weekend

More serious conversations
Nothing special happened...just a weekend full of little boys, eating, scampering, playing, listening to stories, getting cross and recovering, making jokes and making us smile.  We returned to the newly discovered woods near Whitlingham Broad and we tramped a circular route march round the paths and back to the jungle gym and the 'boat'.  We had a BBQ, the first of the year.  My requests for a new/gas BBQ continue to fall on deaf ears.  It's true that we don't really have room for a monster in our back garden but it would be nice not to have to wait for an hour for the charcoals to be ready and then wonder what to do with the ash!  Still, as the number of BBQs we have is relatively limited, my arguments are not strong.

Uncle's cake

Captain Abe
It was Rupert's birthday on the boys' last visit and there were complaints about the absence of a cake.  So we had a belated coffee and walnut cake plus candle.

By the way, at what age do small children sleep longer in the mornings.  I've forgotten!

Saul gives up and goes to sleep in Grandma's arms. Ah!

The boys decide on their own sleeping arrangements!
