My friend Carol is introducing me to some of the more esoteric corners of Texas...well, those within lunch distance of College Station. Today we drove to Edge, not quite at the edge of the universe but pretty damn close! Sadly for Edge it has declined from its glory days when it boasted two stores, schools, churches, doctor's office etc. Now the community focus is the General Store - derelict for 45 years - and 'restored' by it's current owners in 2007.
We had a tasty sandwich each, bag of chips and a coffee and admired the memorabilia!
