Cold Sunday

Much catching up today on this and that...emails, travel plans, replying to Christmas cards.  It was very chilly and, although we bravely decided on a walk after lunch, we didn't get far across the car park before we decided it was too windy and cold for an actual walk so we diverted to Macy's and looked for shirts instead!

A quiet afternoon followed and then we headed out for the 1st Presbyterian Church and a free concert by the La Follia Austin Baroque - three harpsichords, violins, violas, cello, bass, recorder, flute and tenor.  A very interesting programme from Bach to modern.  Pity the audience was smaller than usual - probably due in part to the cold and also to the fact that the students aren't back. 

Back home for a late supper followed by the first episode of series 4 of Downton Abbey which I had set the TV to record...and it worked!  In fact I've set it up to record the whole series!  I can't believe I managed it!
